Overview

Qpex Biopharma is seeking a highly capable and self-motivated Lab Technician. As a Lab Technician you will play a vital role in supporting the research and development efforts at Qpex Biopharma.

Detailed Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the management of physical infrastructure, equipment, and operational aspects of a research laboratory and office facility.
  • Work with external vendors and landlord for facility-related services and equipment maintenance.
  • Be the main point of contact for incoming and outgoing shipments at the Qpex Biopharma facility.
  • Clean laboratory glassware.
  • Prepare buffers, microbiological media, and laboratory reagents.
  • Maintain up-to-date inventory of chemicals.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols in the lab; maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, researchers, and other laboratory staff.
  • Identify and troubleshoot minor issues with equipment.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Associates degree or a relevant certificate in Engineering, Life Sciences, Facilities Management, or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude to use basic tools (screwdrivers, drills, wrenches, etc)
  • Ability to follow protocols and procedures accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to collaborate with a team and follow instructions.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to maintain an organized and clean workspace.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and address minor issues independently.
  • Relevant experience in a laboratory environment is preferred

 

Additional Information

The base salary range for this full-time position is $50,000-$65,000. Individual pay is determined by several factors, which include but are not limited to: job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The range does not include the comprehensive benefits, vehicle allowance, bonus, long-term incentive, or any additional compensation that may be associated with this role.
